WAN Fang received her M.M. degree in Intermedia Music Technology and the D.M.A. degree in Performance of Data-Driven Instruments from the University of Oregon, United States. She is currently on the faculty of the Music Engineering Department at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, China. Her research interests include interactive music systems, data-driven instrument design, and real-time audiovisual composition and performance. She has led multiple research projects funded by provincial and national foundations in China, focusing on embodied interaction, the expression of traditional culture through emerging technologies, and AI-assisted composition. As a composer and researcher, her works have been presented internationally across Asia, North America, and Europe. Selected conferences and festivals include the International Computer Music Conference, the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States, the Kyma International Sound Symposium, and MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING/HANGZHOU.
