RENG Shihong  holds a PhD in computer music, Artist Diploma in composition, and is a "Super Postdoctoral Fellow" in Shanghai. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Music Artificial Intelligence at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (supervised by Professor Yang Yu). He obtained his DNSPM and Master's degrees, as well as an Artist Diploma (third cycle) in composition, from the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Lyon, France. Since 2013, he has collaborated multiple times with GRAME – National Center for Music Creation in France, and in 2018 completed a composition cursus program at IRCAM, France. In 2024, he received his PhD, from the University of Lyon, France, and the National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA). He is a main developer of Faust IDE, JSPatcher, and WAM, and a member of the Antescofo team. He has published numerous papers in domestic and international journals and conferences, such as JAES, Art of Music, AAAI, WWW, SMC, among others.
