LIN Shuyu is a composer specializing in acoustic and electronic music, based in Huzhou, China. She currently serves as a lecturer at the School of Music, Huzhou University. Her acoustic compositions have been performed at festivals and venues across China, the United States, and Europe by ensembles including the Shanghai Kun Opera, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, PHACE Contemporary Music Ensemble, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, and IU New Music Ensemble. Her electronic works have been featured at major festivals such as the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF), WOCMAT, the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC), the Electronic Music Midwest (EMM), MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, and MUSICACOUSTICA-Hangzhou.
Lin holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and both a Master of Music and Doctor of Music from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
