Boris Loginov (b. 1990, Kyiv) — Ukrainian composer and performer based in Freiburg, Germany. Works across various genres, creating instrumental and electroacoustic music. He studied at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine and continued his education at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw as a Gaude Polonia scholarship holder. He is currently pursuing further studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg in the class of Alexander Grebtschenko. Also, he has participated in master classes and lessons with: Jaime Reis, Stefan Prins, Annette Vande Gorne, Mehmet Can Özer, Marcin Błażewicz, and Alla Zahaykevich. Worked in various genres with various ensembles and soloists, including: Orest Smovzh (violin), Antonii Baryshevskyi (Piano), Nina Guo (vocal), Carine Levine (flute), Gleb Kanasevich (clarinet) and also Vocal Ensemble Alter Ratio, Sed Contra Ensemble, Synaesthesis Ensemble etc. Performed at: Kyiv Contemporary Music Days (Ukraine), New-York-Ukrainian Contemporary Music Festival (USA), Translationale Berlin (Germany), UpToThree Festival (Germany), Jauna Muzika (Lithuania), Gaudeamus Festival (Netherlands), Festival Mixtur (Spain) etc. His current artistic research focuses on the categories of memory and time, as well as ambivalence through the exploration of mutually exclusive concepts.
