Born in Dalian, China in 1991. Graduated from Curtis Institute of Music, The Juilliard School and Colburn Conservatory. Jiuming Shen has been featured as a soloist with Guangdong Orchestra, The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Louisville Orchestra. His solo experience also includes performances at Carnegie Weill Hall, Kadriorg Palace Estonia, Melbourne and Sydney Australia, Germany, England, The Netherlands and Japan. Shen donated the proceed of his solo performance in 2011 and created his own charity fund and assist younger musicians. His performances have a high intensity that is offset by his natural lyricism, bringing to mind names of legendary performers of past decades. His awards include prizes from the San Jose piano International Competition, Greenfield competition and the 6th Chinese Gold Medal Award of Music.
