Location: Music Education Theater, Zhejiang Conservatory of Music
Abstract: This lecture uses concrete works as case studies to demonstrate how field recordings and characteristic sounds from the Zhuang and other minority traditions can be integrated into electronic music production and live performance. Topics include sample-library construction, real-time granular processing and timbral transformation, vocal processing and virtual-singer creation, microtonal tuning and implementation of traditional scales, spatialization and multichannel routing, and practical applications of Max for Live in production and live interaction. The session also addresses intangible-heritage preservation, sampling ethics, and community reciprocity mechanisms. Live Ableton Live project demonstrations, production-technique breakdowns, and hands-on experience applying technology to assist creativity in the AI era will equip attendees with reusable production techniques.
