WANG Jianli is an accomplished performer specializing in the Da Hualian (painted face) roles of Qinqiang opera. Born in Zhouzhi, Shaanxi Province, he trained under the renowned national first-class actor Li Maigang. Wang has played leading roles in many canonical Qinqiang operas, especially those centered on heroic and righteous figures, earning him high regard in the Qinqiang tradition. In October 2011, he received the Performance Award at the 6th Shaanxi Provincial Arts Festival for his portrayal of Cao Cao in The Poem of Seven Steps. In December 2014, he won First Prize at the inaugural China Mobile Opera Competition. In 2024, he performed as a Hualian general in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala.
