Received a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, followed by a Master of Music in Composition and Electronic Music Composition from the University of Music and Dance Cologne, Germany, and graduated from the Excellence Program in Composition (Konzertexamen) at the Robert Schumann University of Music Düsseldorf. His work encompasses Western acoustic instruments, electronic music, and compositions incorporating Korean traditional instruments, exploring diverse sound worlds and intercultural exchange. He is currently Professor in the Department of Composition at Hanyang University and Artistic Director of the contemporary music ensemble EINS, actively engaged in creating and presenting works that expand the possibilities of contemporary music through cross-genre and cross-cultural collaboration.
