FENG Jinshuo is a composer focusing on AI music and interactive music composition. He holds a Ph.D. in Electronic Music Composition from the Central Conservatory of Music, where he studied under Professor ZHANG Xiaofu, a pioneer of electronic music in China. He is currently an associate professor at the Communication University of China, with his research centered on music and artificial intelligence. His compositions span both traditional and cutting-edge fields. In the traditional realm, he has composed scores for large-scale dance dramas such as Man Jiang Hong and Cao Xueqin, exploring the integration of historical narratives with modern compositional techniques.

 

FENG has made pioneering contributions to the field of interactive music. His works Living Room Drama and Storytelling: Three Defeats of the White Bone Spirit are prominent examples. These performances utilize multimodal AI to analyze a performer's voice, expressions, and movements in real time, dynamically generating music and visuals to establish a new paradigm of human-computer co-performance. He is dedicated to leading-edge research, including AI virtual singers and music structures for real-time interactive systems. His research has been published at top international academic conferences such as the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) and the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (CIME/ICEM), continuously advancing the interdisciplinary development of music technology in both artistic and academic domains.
