Huixin Xue is a Chinese composer who has been studying under the composer and doctoral supervisor, Professor Liu Hao. She is now studying for a PhD in Music AI at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. She graduated from the Music Engineering Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music both for her bachelor's and master's degrees, entering, being recommended, and graduating all as the top of her major. Her pieces span a range of genres, including electronic music, Chinese folk music, symphony, songs, drama and film music, and attempt to explore the possibility of AI technology to inspire music creation. Her pieces won numerous awards, including the Grand Prize at the 2024 OPUS ARTIS PARIS International Composition Award, the First Prize at the 9th Smederevo International Composition Competition in Serbia, the Special Prize at the 2022 Atlanta Youth International Composition Competition in the United States. Her pieces have been performed at various platforms including the Hangzhou International Electronic Music Festival, the Beijing International Electronic Music Festival, the China-ASEAN Music Week.
