Hangchen Xiao ,a young violinist graduated from America, serves as a teacher at Zhejiang Conservatory of Music,also she served as former assistant concertmaster of Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra in China. Her awards include the first prize in the Mary Graham Lasley Concerto Competition in Washington and Bronze award of the 9th Golden Bell Chamber Music Competition.She was invited to Tanglewood(Boston),Verbier(Switzerland) music festivals, cooperated with Boston Symphony Orchestra and world’s renowned conductors including Charles Dutoit, Andris Nelson. Hangchen was a founder of the Rhythm String Quartet and Piano Quartet, touring extensively including concerts hosted by prestigious concert halls such as Beijing Concert Hall, Zhongshan Concert Hall and the National Center for the Performing Arts. As a soloist, Hangchen performed “ Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D major”, “Butterfly Lovers” with Peabody Symphony Orchestra ,Washington Alexandria Symphony Orchestra and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra.In the Spring Festival Gala of 2019, she was invited by the CCTV to perform “Red Sun over Jinggang Mountain” as a solo violinist. Also,many students under her guidance have won awards in various international music competition,in addition, hangchen as a judge of international music competition.
