Hong Kong composer, professor of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, master programme tutor (composition, electronic music), postdoctoral fellow of Shanghai Conservatory of Music; Member of Sound Art Committee of China Film Association, expert of China Performing Arts Equipment Technology Association, and project assessor of Hong Kong Arts Development Council. His works are often performed in various music festivals, and have won the 2001 Recommended Music Award of the United Nations Music Bureau and the National Music Works (Chorus, Chamber Music) Creation Award, etc. 2018 Hong Kong Artist of the Year Award (Music). He has been a resident composer, assistant conductor of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, and a professor at Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has been devoted to the teaching, research and creation of composition, sound design, research and application of sound landscape, interaction and combination of music and dynamic images and body rhythm for many years.
