Zhai Xingxing serves as a clarinet teacher in Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. As a young clarinet artist, he received his doctor’s degree in the US. Mr. Zhai is the major member of the national undergraduate first-class course (clarinet), second prize winner of the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, distinguished clarinet teacher at the Tsinghua University and former principal clarinetist of the Central Conservatory Orchestra. Mr. Zhai is the vice president of the Greater China Wind Society of German International Musicians Association, Selmer artist, signed artist of the CNORCH.com, principal clarinetist of the Zhejiang Clarinet Ensemble, and founder of the Fantasy Clarinet Ensemble.
Mr. Zhai pursued his studies at the Central Conservatory of Music and the Boston University. In October 2019, he performed live on the Tian’anmen Square with the Thousand People Symphony Orchestra for the 70th Anniversary Celebration of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, and was then awarded the Golden Commemorative Medal by the Chinese government. Over these years, he has won a wealth of awards, including the first prize of the Boston International Concerto Competition, second prize of the Mendelssohn International Chamber Music Competition in Germany, first prize of the 1st National Clarinet Concerto Competition, first prize of the 1st Qingdao International Clarinet Competition, etc.
