ZHAO Yixuan is a composer, member of Electroacoustic Music Association of China (EMAC), a lecturer at Central Conservatory of Music, China, a visiting researcher at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK.

As a researcher, she has been dedicated to exploring the practice of digital audio and artificial intelligence in music composition, and collaborating with performers to search more possibilities in technological performance environments. Her composition, which mainly focuses on electroacoustic music, interactive music and contemporary music, her works have won numerous prizes and performed in many international conferences and concerts, including Journées d'Informatique Musicale, NIME, China-UK International Music Festival, Nottingham New Music Festival, MUSICACOUSTICA-BEIJING, Beijing Youth Arts Festival, WOCMAT Taiwan, etc.
