MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU 2023 will be held from October 24th to 29th at the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music. The MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU Electroacoustic Music Composition Competition, as part of the festival, will feature live judging by an international panel of judges and feedback sessions for the finalists. We are now inviting submissions from young composers worldwide, and the rules are as follows:

1) The competition is jointly organized by the MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU Committee and the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music, with the Electroacoustic Music Association of China as the host. Experts in the electroacoustic music field from different nationalities will serve as judges.

2) The competition is open to composers under the age of 40 of any nationality.

3) The competition is divided into five categories:

     A. Acousmatic/Electroacoustic Music

     B. Electroacoustic Music with Live Performance

     C. Electroacoustic Music with Image

     D. Applied Electronic Music

     E. Songwriting and Production

4) The competition will be conducted anonymously. The winners from all categories will be announced and awarded during the closing ceremony of MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU, accompanied by certificates and cash prizes. The winning compositions will be published on the official website and considered for publication by the MUSICACOUSTICA-HANGZHOU Committee or scheduled for concert performances.
